Sensor Maintenance

After replacing a membrane, the electrode must be conditioned in flowing chlorinated water and recalibrated before being returned to normal service. GF recommends using an appropriate DPD colorimetric test method for calibration verification.
Important Handling Information
Avoid touching the sensor’s gold electrode tip or the white surface of the PTFE membrane. Oils, dirt, scratches, or other contamination may affect sensor performance.
Always use appropriate gloves and eye protection when handling electrolyte. Do not use detergents, solvents, or surface-tension-reducing chemicals to clean the membrane. Installation and maintenance should be completed according to GF’s operating instructions.
