Description
Key Features of TITANSORB™:
Advanced Adsorbent: TITANSORB™ is a cutting-edge product based on titanium dioxide (TiO₂) crystals. It’s capable of removing a range of heavy metals from water, including arsenic, selenium, uranium, and others.
Patented Technology: The product has been developed by Watch Water® over five years and is patented. This technology provides a low-cost solution compared to other titanium dioxide-based technologies.
High Capacity and Effectiveness:
- Double Capacity: TITANSORB™ has an enhanced capacity to adsorb contaminants.
- Fast Mass Transfer Kinetics: This results in very short empty bed contact times (EBCT), which is crucial for efficient water treatment.
- Strong Granules: TITANSORB™ granules are durable and have minimal pressure drop, leading to lower equipment costs.
- Large Pores: The large pore sizes in the media allow for rapid intra-particle mass transport, resulting in shorter treatment times compared to other adsorbents.
Applications:
- Residential, Municipal, and Commercial: TITANSORB™ can be used in various water treatment systems for drinking water, including residential, municipal, and commercial applications.
- Point of Use (POU) and Point of Entry (POE) Filters: TITANSORB™ is suitable for these types of filtration systems, both manual and automatic.
- No Regeneration Needed: Unlike some other adsorbents, TITANSORB™ does not require regeneration, which simplifies system maintenance.
Cost-Effective: Compared to other adsorbent technologies based on aluminum or iron hydroxide, TITANSORB™ offers a more affordable and efficient solution for water purification.
Warning for Arsenic Contamination: If arsenic levels in drinking water exceed 5 μg/l, Watch Water® recommends installing an arsenic removal system. Boiling water is not effective for removing arsenic and may even increase its concentration.
Environmental Impact: The focus on arsenic and other heavy metal removal addresses significant environmental and public health concerns.
Additional Features:
- No Pressure Drop: The system maintains a stable flow without significant pressure changes due to the strength of the granules.
- Ideal for Smaller Systems: TITANSORB™ allows for smaller pressure vessels compared to traditional aluminum or iron hydroxide-based adsorbents, making it suitable for compact water treatment setups.
